Springside Inn
is one of our favorite places to stay when we are in the Auburn area,
and the food at their restaurant makes even a long trip worthwhile. It
always seems to be packed with guests, which is the first indication
that their food is amazing. Their Sunday brunch is quite famous, and
for good reason. If you do happen to stay, you'll enjoy the spacious
rooms that are beautifully decorated, and we'd also recommend checking
out the private quarters beside the lake as an option for even more
privacy during your stay. Just an all around great place to stay and
dine!

We
absolutely love the upscale ambiance at Parker's
Grille & Tap House. Many have said that it's the
best bar in the city of Auburn, and we would definitely agree with
that. They have some of the best bloody marys that we've ever had in
New York, and that's what we'd call a perfect starter before you dive
into their wonderful food... be sure to try the hamburgers and salads
here, they are prepared just perfectly and taste so good. Pair it with
a crisp iced tea or an ice cold Pepsi and you're good to go. The
waitstaff is really excellent here, and they never mind it when we
stick around for hours to have conversation with our friends long after
our meal is done. Gotta love it.

Connie's Deli...
the name will mislead you, because rather than an American style deli
that you would expect, you'll walk into a Mexican restaurant.
Definitely a surprise, but never a disappointment! The food is amazing
and authentic. We love to start it off with the chips and salsa, and
the vegetarian tacos and quesadillas are our two favorite things on the
menu. The flautas are also fantastic. We could go on and on about the
menu, because everything is so good here. The waitstaff is really nice
and friendly and the ambiance is very nice too.

Another
Mexican restaurant that we are addicted to in Auburn is Mesa Grande
Taqueria. We should note that we haven't visited the
restaurant in person, but we have attended several events that were
catered by this restaurant. The food was just amazing. If you're
traveling with our company and are having an event catered, we'd
definitely recommend Mesa Grande Taqueria. The nachos are the thing
that gets rave reviews from everyone, and we love their tacos too.
Everything is superbly fresh and served hot. Though we haven't visited
the restaurant in person, our friends assure us that it's clean, nicely
decorated, and served by a friendly waitstaff. We would definitely
recommend this place for both catering and in-restaurant dining!

The
cozy bar that you picture when you hear the name Daut's
is exactly what you get when you walk in. It's like a throwback to a
simpler time. Kind of a log cabin vibe with an old school bar twist.
The food is just out of this world here, and we'd recommend the pot
roast most highly, followed by the pasta with asiago and white wine
sauce plus chicken, crab, and mushrooms. Wow, it is amazing. Delicious
stuffed steak too. Everything here is prepared just perfectly, right
down to the mixed drinks! Very highly recommended.

Lasca's
is that famous place where verybody goes to celebrate the bigger events
in life... if you're from Auburn, you know that it's THE
family gathering spot in the area! They have such an amazing array of
entrees here, it's almost overwhelming. They've got enormous portions
here that are perfect for family style dining, sharing with a friend,
or taking some home and turning one meal into two! That's
actually a good idea because you'll want to save some room for their
delicious homemade desserts. Amazing dining experience, very highly
recommended.

McMurphy's
Irish Pub is actually located at the Holiday Inn Convention
Center, so you'll have to deal with the typical crowd of convention
goers and wedding guests, but we say it's worth it! The selection of
drinks is actually quite small and not really what we'd call
"impressive," but we come in for the basic good old fashioned drink,
the great conversation, and that unforgettable Irish music. The Irish
food is pretty good too! Maybe not the most authentic in the world, but
definitely a nice Americanized version that falls under the heading of
comfort food. We love it and we think you will too. And you can't beat
the location if you're already staying at the Holiday Inn!

If
you're seeking a great diner in Auburn, Hunter's
is the number one choice. We absolutely adore their coffee, served
piping hot and always with the best flavor... They've got all your
favorite breakfast combos, and your favorite diner food throughout the
day. It's all about that classic diner feel here, from the chrome
accents to the neon lights. They're always packed with happy customers
who have been coming in for years, and they'll vouch for the fact that
this place is noteworthy and worth visiting. We stop in every time
we're in Auburn!

Moro's Table
is Italian food at its best. The item that we cannot do without is the
baked oysters with truffle oil, bacon, and cheese. Just talking about
it makes our mouths water! The bread pudding is also really amazing,
and that's an understatement. Crafted from vanilla custard, croissants,
and huge chunks of chocolate... it's definitely in a class of its own.
Try the frisee salad with egg and lardons too. The nicoise is worth
trying as well! Every single item that we have tried here is out of
this world, and we have tried many thanks to the fact that they allow
you to order half portions! Take advantage of that and mix it up. Don't
miss Moro's Table when you're in the area.

Spirits
Tavern & Cafe is just your basic bar, just a really
great comfortable relaxing old fashioned bar! We could wrap the review
up right there because that pretty much says it all, but we should also
mention the great service, the comfortable large booths, and the great
food and drinks. They've got all your favorite spirits and a few that
you may have never tried before, and a nice menu that will both fill
you up and make you feel good after a long night of drinking. Very
highly recommended!
