Pita Gourmet is a wonderful spot to go for delicious Mediterranean food. We are in love with their fresh baba ghannouj! Truly the best that we have ever tasted. The marinated chicken is really out of this world, and when you pair that with some delicious hummous and tabbouli, you've got the perfect trio of flavors. The service here is always top notch, with very attentive servers who really care about your time at the restaurant. It's also very clean and nicely decorated here, so we always feel at home. One of our highest recommendations in the Cortland area.

Hairy Tony's may not sound too appetizing, but trust us, it's one of the best restaurants around! We love coming in for those delicious grass-fed free-range hamburgers, and when you pair that with a delicious woodchuck cider, well... there's just nothing better than that. Great nachos, a really wide selection of beers, and the perfect cole slaw to go along with everything. If you love New Orleans style cuisine, they've got a creole style pasta with sausage, chicken, and shrimp that you will not be able to resist. Definitely give this place a try whenever you are in the Cortland area!

Doug's Fish Fry is a seafood lover's dream in Cortland. We love to come in with a large group of friends and nosh on those delicious oysters, and during more intimate occasions you can't go wrong with a soul-warming bowl of lobster bisque. If you're in a casual type of mood and just want a great sandwich, the fish sandwich is noteworthy! And everybody who goes here, and we mean EVERYBODY, raves about that cole slaw. It really is that good, so even if you're not a slaw lover we recommend that you give it a try! Don't miss this place!

Brix Pubaria is all about delicious chicken wings and pizza, and who doesn't love that? They've got such a wide variety of interesting pizza topping combinations, you'll want to come in time and time again until you've tried them all, and yet again and again for seconds! It's very nice inside, very comfortable and nicely decorated, and they keep everything sparkling clean which is something that we appreciate. There's also seating outdoors for those warm days when you just can't tear yourself away from the sunshine. The habanero wings are our favorite here! Pair it with a salad to cool things down and it's all good!

A&W Root Beer Drive-In is such a classic! We've been going to the A&W drive-ins since our youth, and we just never tired of that old fashioned charm and the delicious food that's so consistent. The foot long coneys have got to be our favorite (order them "with everything" so you get chili, mustard, and onion!).  A root beer float is the perfect drink to go with that of course. If you're not the hot dog type, opt for any of their burgers or perhaps the chicken nuggets. Everything is excellent here so you can't go wrong!

China City gets rave reviews from everyone in Cortland because they really do have the best Chinese food around. This restaurant caters to primarily takeout customers, but there are several tables where you can sit and relax and enjoy a hot meal if you like. This restaurant has captured our hearts because of the friendly service, the delicious food, and the menu that's so large and varied. The egg rolls are really excellent, and we love the General Tso's chicken as well as the delicious Curry Chicken. Takeout is always ready within fifteen minutes, so when you need something hot and fast, China City is your best bet!

Garcia's Mexican Restaurant has always been one of our favorite places to dine in Cortland. When you're craving really excellent Mexican food at a price that's affordable, you cannot beat this place. The quality is just out of this world. They have amazing chicken tamales which is a rare find since they're typically made with pork, and we also love their calsonettos, quesadillas, and taquitos. We love the retro decor here even though some would say it could use an update. We love the throwback atmosphere and the service that's old fashioned too!

Green Arch Restaurant is the place to go for delicious Italian food... it's got that old neighborhood vibe that we can barely ever find these days, and the kind of old fashioned service that will make you want to stay a while. We love every single one of the pastas here, and you will really fall in love with the veal and chicken parmesan.  There's even a bar in the back where you can kick back and enjoy yourself after stuffing yourself full of all that amazing food! If we were ranking these restaurants in order, Green Arch Restaurant would make the top of the list. We love this place.

Crown City Steakhouse... as steak lovers we cannot get enough of this place. The location of this restaurant is attached to the Ramada Inn, which makes it a very convenient stop if you happen to be staying there while you're in town. You'd expect ridiculous prices at a place like this, but it's actually incredibly affordable. Some of the low prices really shocked us, and we're happy to say that the prices do not reflect the quality of the food! We'd recommend the coconut shrimp appetizer as well as the potato skins. For a drink, you can't go wrong with a tequila sunrise, and for your meal, any one of the steaks or seafood dishes will do you just fine. Always a great experience here.

Mark's Pizzeria gets some of the highest rated reviews that we have ever seen, and we can vouch for the quality here. It's not just the high quality of the food that gets people to go crazy over this place, though that's of course the most important thing... it's also the amazing service. The staff here always goes out of their way to make sure that you are happy with everything, and that attention to detail really makes all the difference. All of the pizzas and pastas are fantastic. Our favorite pizza? The chicken bacon ranch. Hands down.
