The Red Dove Tavern is one of our absolute favorite places to dine, mostly because all of their food is sourced from local farms. We love their ever-changing menu, which is so fluid that they don't waste time trying to print actual menus of it. They just point you to the blackboard where all the fresh offerings are written. We've had a lot of wonderful things here, including duck wings with curry and coconut milk. We hate to detail our choices here too much because it changes so often and we don't want you to be disappointed if they don't have those items when you come in. The best thing is to just head on over there and see what's fresh today. We wish every restaurant could be like this!

The Beef & Brew is a really great spot to go with friends or family for a great meal in a really relaxed atmosphere. The waitstaff is truly excellent here, giving all their attention to ensuring that your meal is a good one.  Your glass never goes empty and your needs are always tended to. We love the beef on weck sandwiches, and the steak fries are just awesome here. We very highly recommend the beer and cheddar soup, it is just too good! Everyone that we know raves about it, and we find ourselves coming in just for that soup on a pretty regular basis. Try the beef pies as well, and no matter what you get for an entree, pair it with an ice cold beer and you'll be good to go!

Emile's is an upscale Italian restaurant. You do pay for the quality here, but you can believe us when we say it's worth it. The ambiance is just gorgeous, really elegant and nicely decorated. The servers put in lots of work to make sure that you're having a good time, and they're never too far away whwen you need something. The food is superbly fresh and prepared by chefs who really know what they're doing. We love the prime rib, the scampi, and the salmon, and they also have a very fresh salad bar that's worth a look! The kids menu is noteworthy here, much larger than that at most restaurants and definitely healthier and more hearty options. Truly wonderful restaurant, very highly recommended!

Stonecutters is located on castle grounds, near a winery, so you know that you are going to be treated to a truly unique experience. Everything here is truly upscale and impressive, and yet it's known as a casual restaurant where you can relax and enjoy yourself. Our favorite salad is the steap tip salad, and the grilled chicken salad is also a wonderful choice. If you're in the mood for a fantastic sandwich, the caprese panini is amazing. They've also got a sandwich that combines the tastes of brie and beef, which is something that you've just got to try at least once in this lifetime. Too good to believe. Really great desserts too, such as bananas foster and peach cheesecake! Don't miss this elegant yet casual escape.

Halsey's Restaurant has been mentioned as a favorite restaurant by many of our friends, so we finally made the trek to Geneva to give it a try. Their stories were correct--everything is amazing here! The wood-fired vegetable napoleon was probably our favorite thing on the menu, though that's a tough decision to make! We also loved the juicy steaks, and the duck too. The service was really wonderful and the seating was superbly comfortable. Very nice lighting and ambiance as well. The only thing we could possibly complain about is the fact that they are not open on Mondays! Other than that, this place is an absolute gem and we can't recommend it to you highly enough!

Main Moon is simply a Chinese takeout restaurant, but in that simple fact it excels. They've got some of the best Chinese food in the entire Geneva area, as evidenced by all of our friends who insisted that we not leave it off this list! They didn't have to work too hard to convince us, because we've been there several times ourselves and we know just how great it is! They've got a very convenient location right on the water, and their menu includes all of your favorites, including a really great General Tso's Chicken that we just can't resist! The restaurant is kept spotless and the staff has always been very friendly with us, both on the phone when we place our orders and in person. Very highly recommended.

Opus Espresso and Wine Bar gets some of the highest reviews we have ever seen, and after having visited a few times ourselves, we no longer question why. The attention to detail and quality is just out of this world. We love to come in for lunch and enjoy a hearty sandwich and coffee, or come in later on for a great dinner along with some wine, perhaps in the outdoor seating area when the weather's warm! They use bread that's baked locally which we appreciate, and they're very unique too. Try the cinnamon bread, it's fantastic. The chicken salad is truly some of the best that we have ever tasted. To say it's divine would be an understatement. Great service too, and amazing atmosphere.

Uncle Joe's Pizzeria is the place to go if you are craving a really great pizza! The thick crust pan pizza style is in full effect here, and they have a wide array of toppings to satisfy even the most gourmet diners, including sun-dried tomatoes, delicious artichokes, and smoked salmon. Those three on one pizza equals heaven if you ask us! Of course they've got a lot more than just pizza though... try the fresh salads with that amazing house dressing. The fried dough is always a great addition to any meal, and you cannot go wrong with an order of their famous wings. The people who work here are always in a good mood, very friendly and happy to take your order. Can't go wrong with Uncle Joe's!

Joe's Hots is just awesome. We could stop the review there, because that really says it all, but what makes it one of our favorite places to go is those amazing "garbage plates," their indulgent chili cheese dogs, their juicy burgers, and of course the fries! They've also got chicken and veggie burgers for those that are trying to be a little healthier, but we say if you're going to Joe's Hots, you might as well blow your diet and just indulge all those cravings. Everything's so good it would be a crime not to! The staff is super friendly, the location couldn't be more convenient on the corner of Hamilton and West... There are so many reasons to love this place, and we do! We know you will too. Don't miss it.

Ventosa Vineyards has the slogan, "A taste of tuscany in the Finger Lakes," and we really do feel like we have traveled to beautiful Italy when we have the pleasure of doing some wine tasting here. If you love your red wines, you will be completely bowled over by the incredible flavor and richness that these vineyards produce. The syrah and the pinot noir are just too good to believe, and the tocai fruiliano is something that you've got to taste for yourself. A real essential as far as we're concerned. The sangiovese is also packed with flavor. If you are more of a white wine lover, the riesling is one that we would very highly recommend too. Be sure to fit a wine tasting into your next trip to Geneva!
