The Mulberry Italian Restaurant
is a real standout restaurant on this list, with its Little Italy type
of charm and the wonderful food. We love this upscale eatery, and have
been here many times over the years. We're happy to tell you that our
experiences here have been nothing but consistent. They've got some of
the very best lasagna that we have ever had, complete with layers of
sausage, chicken, veal, and ricotta cheese, and we also enjoy their
lobster ravioli! Our guests had the taggliatelle and they said it was
one of the best things they had ever eaten. The service is always top
notch here, and incredibly fast. We really enjoy the friendly
atmosphere and the beautiful decor. 64 Jackson Ave Lackawanna, NY 14218 (716) 822-4292
Curly's Bar & Grill
is the place in Lackawanna that we always go to for that incredible
jerk chicken! It's really addictive and we just can't get enough of it.
They also have a black bean soup that will really knock your socks off,
and the cioppino comes highly recommended too! It doesn't matter if
you're coming in for after-work drinks or for a sit-down meal with the
family, you will find that the atmosphere and the ambiance cannot be
beat. When you come in, we'd recommend trying the pasta pappardelle,
the scallops, and the shrimp bisque. Lots of wonderful seafood options
here. It can be a bit expensive here if you opt for the appetizers,
desserts, and drinks, but in our opinion it is worth every single
penny! Really great dining experience. 647 Ridge Rd Lackawanna, NY 14218 (716) 824-9716
Ernie Weber's Beef N Ale
is such a great place to go for delicious sandwiches and beers. They've
got the best beef on weck that we've tasted in quite a while, and from
what we've heard this is one of the places that started that tradition
way back when. The ale gets its fair share of the attention here since
it is a truly old fashioned style bar. We've found that the hours can
be a little too flexible for our tastes... they change often, so call
ahead to find out what time they'll be opening and closing on that day.
Good service, amazing sandwiches, and really good fries and beers. What
more could you want from an afternoon or evening? One of the best in
Lackawanna. 3167 S Park Ave Lackawanna, NY 14218 (716) 826-7843
Gabriel's Gate Restaurant (located in nearby Buffalo)
is known for its amazing buffalo wings, and once you've sunk your teeth
into a single wing, you will know why. So juicy and crispy... really
some of the best that we have ever tasted. They are also known for
their house beer which is a very tasty brown ale, or if that's not
quite your style you might want to try the Sierra Nevada which is
always on draft. We really love sitting in the front room and enjoying
the funky decor that includes wooden indians and eclectic chandaliers
from decades past. Best things about this place? The variety of wings
and all the beers that they have to complement them! Very highly
recommended. 145 Allen St Buffalo, NY 14201 (716) 886-0602
Pearl Street Grill & Brewing Co (located in nearby Buffalo) is
a jaunt that's definitely worth it. The food is just ridiculously good
here, including a beer cheese soup made with gouda, a hot roast beef
sandwich, and the perfect au jus to go with it! Their salads are also
very good, nicely sized, crisp, and very fresh. Great dressings and
toppings too. They've got really good burgers and beers here as well.
They've got a nice selection of pale ales including Lake Effect which
we really enjoy. Even the desserts are crave-worthy, including a molten
chocolate cake that nobody can ever resist! It's a nice treat for
birthdays or just because! Always a nice way to end a fabulous meal.
Great restaurant, highly recommended! 76 Pearl St Buffalo, NY 14202 (716) 856-2337
Merge (located in nearby Buffalo)
is mostly about vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free offerings, though
they've got some regular fare here that will satisfy your friends,
including a spicy chicken wrap (this is gluten free) and sweet potato
fries with honey. Of course, if you ask us, you can get that anywhere!
The vegan and vegetarian fare is rightly the star of the menu. They
have some wonderful paninis here that come with salads, and you can
actually tell by the flavor of everything that it is organic. It's
true! If you're seeking a great spot in nearby Buffalo that's really
more of a casual cafe than an upscale restaurant, you will love this
one. Very highly recommended for anyone who loves vegetarian fare! 439 Delaware Ave Buffalo, NY 14202 (716) 842-0600
Towne Restaurant (located in nearby Buffalo) gets
a very high recommendation from us because of all the amazing flavors
that they serve up on their menu. They've got a really delish chicken
lemon rice soup that we love, and the beef and chicken souvlaki is
really out of this world too. It's tough to find a Greek restaurant
that is truly authentic in the area, and this one definitely goes above
and beyond. Yes, it's a diner, and they keep with that style. But the
food is authentic and delicious. They're open all night so there's a
big after-bar crowd here, but the best thing is that their food is just
as good in the middle of the night as it is in the middle of the day!
Kudos to them. They do a great job here. 186 Allen St Buffalo, NY 14201 (716) 884-5128
Betty's (located in nearby Buffalo)
has such an eclectic array of tastes, you may have a hard time choosing
something from the menu! It all just sounds so good. We have tried (and
loved) the french toast casserole, the chorizo omelette, and the eggs
benedict. Breakfast has never tasted so good. We really love the fact
that you get fresh berries with that casserole too. Such a nice fresh
complement to the meal. Breakfast, at least at the time of this
writing, is served until 11:30AM on the weekdays, and they are closed
entirely on Mondays. We have not yet been here for lunch, but we have
heard that they have really delicious grilled chicken sandwiches with
feta and artichokes, plus fresh soups. Good stuff! 370 Virginia St Buffalo, NY 14201 (716) 362-0633
Schwabl's Restaurant (located in nearby West Seneca)
is a real American classic, and one that we definitely recommend to
you! We love the beef on weck sandwiches here, and you will really fall
in love with their German potato salad too. Back to that beef on weck
though, the best thing is that they carve it right in front of you and
you can have it sliced as thick or as thin as you like. They really
know what they're doing here. Everything that they serve here is
fantastic, but it's hard to move past that beef on weck because it's
not only what they are known for, it's also irresistible! Every time we
come in, we have to order one. It makes us want to go get one right
now, and we recommend that you do the same! 789 Center Rd West Seneca, NY 14224 (716) 675-2333
Bacchus Wine Bar & Restaurant (located in nearby Buffalo)
is one of the better restaurants and bars in the area, as evidenced by
the fact that we have been here at least a dozen times in the past
year! We're truly addicted to their duck confit with mango salad, and
we absolutely adore their vegetable egg rolls! They also have a rack of
lamb that you are sure to love, and the salmon is noteworthy too. We
especially love the fact that when you order your wine by the glass,
they pour you a bit so you can try it first. So few places do that
anymore, and we really appreciate it! Wonderful place for dinner with
the family or for an intimate date with the one you love. Very
highly recommended! 54 W Chippewa St Buffalo, NY 14202 (716) 854-9463
