Gino's Restaurant & Pizzeria
has got to be one of our favorite pizzerias in Long Beach, maybe our
sole favorite actually, because they have just the best pizza around!
We love those tiny pepperoni slices that are cooked so perfectly on top
of just the right amount of mozzarella cheese, and the tomato slices
are just perfect too. They've got every kind of Italian food you could
ever want here beyond just that famous pizza, and even ice cream for
dessert. On a hot day in the summer time, you can't go wrong pairing an
ice cold beer with your pizza! Too good. It's true that this is one of
the most hyped places in Long Beach, and it is a little higher priced
than we'd like, but the hype is true and everything really is that
good. Don't miss it! 16 W Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 432-8193
Yummy Yummy Restaurant
is the essential sushi restaurant in Long Beach! They've been here for
at least ten years that we're aware of, perhaps longer, and they have
been consistent the entire time. The edamame is a very nice appetizer,
and all of the rolls are excellent here. We love the all you can eat
sushi because that is just too hard to find nowadays. They don't seem
to advertise it anymore but you can still get the all you can eat
option if you ask for it. This restaurant is family friendly and great
for the kids. Very comfortable, nicely lit, and nice decor too. We love
coming in with the family or with our good friends to catch up over
some green tea while we enjoy our sushi! Always a good time. 153 E Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 897-9872
Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries has
been a favorite among our friends for quite some time now, and there's
a reason that their locations are spreading out all over the United
States! Their juicy burgers are just too good to believe, and you can
pile on as many topping as you like at no additional charge. Everybody
loves the free peanuts here too. For those with peanut allergies, note
that the fries are also cooked in peanut oil. Even if you're not that
big on burgers, they have incredible cheese dogs. Imagine a hearty hot
dog with a ton of melty cheese just dripping off of it... yeah. It's
that good. You will definitely want to check this place out next time
you are in the Long Beach area if you haven't already! 2 W Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 431-1999
Nagahama Japanese Restaurant
is a cut above the rest when it comes to sushi. This is the more
upscale option among the sushi offerings in Long Beach, with truly
skilled sushi chefs who really know how to craft a masterpiece out of
fresh fish, sticky rice, and toasted seaweed. The crunchy spicy tuna
roll is one of our favorites here, and we also love the dragon roll and
the chili roll. The fish is superbly fresh here, so if you really enjoy
sashimi, you can rest assured that this is a great place to get it.
This place comes close to, or even surpasses, some of those
oft-recommended sushi restaurants in NYC. Give it a try and find out
for yourself just how good it is! 169 E Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 432-6446
Minnesota's Grill & Bar
is one of the best places to go for drinks in the area, and you'll want
to note that Friday is ladies night, when you can get some serious
specials even on your favorite top shelf liquors. Very highly
recommended. Tokyo Tuesday is another one of our favorite nights to
come in for all that delicious sushi! It's true that the prices can be
a bit high here, so if you're watching your funds you may want to look
elsewhere, but if you've got the money to blow on a reasonable cover
charge and somewhat overpriced beers, you'll really love the ambiance
and the service can't be beat. You do get a lot for your money here.
Very highly recommended for a great time any night of the week! 959 W Beech St Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 432-4080
Sutton Place
is a wonderful restaurant and bar where you can relax and enjoy your
favorite burgers and steaks in style. We love to come in and watch the
games, and they also have live music here, so that will keep you plenty
entertained! It seems like they're always busy on the weekends which is
a sign of a great place. We love the fact that it's located in the old
Long Beach Library building, and there are hints of that throughout.
Budding architectural historians will want to check out those little
details as they're throwing back beers. Very cool. Outdoor dining is
nice in the warmer months of the year too. Lots of great beers on
tap, and really great service here. Don't miss it when you're in the
area! 124 W Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 431-3133
Swingbellys BBQ...
we love that old building that looks like someone's house, and if you
love barbecue as much as we do, you really owe it to yourself to check
this place out. They have some of the very best barbecue ever,
including wonderfully delicious wings that you can really scarf down on
all you can eat wing night! Score! The drink specials will help you to
save a few bucks too, and be sure to check out their beer and bourbon
nights. Their macaroni and cheese is also a real treat, and we love
their sweet potato fries too. Great food, great drinks, great service.
Don't miss the loaded fries, they're piled high with bacon, cheese, and
sour cream! Too good. We just can't say enough about how great this
place is. 909 W Beech St Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 431-3464
The Beach House
is all about great burgers as far as we're concerned, but there's much
more here than just that to hold your attention. They've got delicious
beer on draft, a very nice outdoor seating area to enjoy when the
weather is warm, and live music to keep you dancing too. The sports bar
atmosphere feels authentic and fun rather than forced, and we love the
fact that it's still family friendly with a nice kids menu as well. The
restaurant is owned by a firefighter, so you know the food is great. We
love coming in for football on Sundays, and happy hour is always a good
time here too. Fun for dates or get togethers with your good friends.
All you can eat wings on Monday nights too! Don't miss it! 906 W Beech St Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 208-8733
Sugo Cafe
gets rave reviews, and there's no question why. Just take a look at
that incredible menu and you'll get a hint of the kind of experience
you'll have here... Meatballs and linguine packs tons of flavor into an
old fashioned comfort food style dish... Baked salmon and braised meat
keeps it simple and light... and the stuffed cabbage appetizer is
always a great start to any meal. If you're looking for something a
little more modern and trendy, opt for that calimari appetizer or the
goat cheese pizza. They've got t he best of both worlds here, both old
school and new. Everything falls under the category of comfort food,
and it's all just so fantastic. A real gem in Long Beach. Very highly
recommended. 62 W Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 431-7846
Lido Kosher Deli
cannot be beat for lovers of pastrami and cornbeef sandwiches! This is
one of the lesser known gems in Long Beach, kind of falling by the
wayside thanks to the slick marketing of the other more exciting
restaurants... but if a huge overstuffed sandwich is your bag, then you
will not want to overlook this one! They've got the all beef hebrew
nationals hot dogs here too, which are just fatnastic! Everything that
they offer here is old fashioned, just the way you liked it when you
were a kid (or maybe when your parents were kids!). Check out the cole
slaw and the potato salad too, they are essentials. Many say this is
their favorite deli in all of New York, so listen up and try it for
yourself. 641 E Park Ave Long Beach, NY 11561 (516) 431-4411
