The Ugly Rooster Cafe is such a great place to go for breakfast when you're in Mechanicville. The coffee is just fantastic here, served in real mugs! We love the breakfast burritos that are just packed with ingredients and amazing flavor, and you simply cannot resist those incredible seasoned home fries. Wow. They are also open for lunch, but not for dinner, so make sure you come in early. You'll be surprised just how huge the portions are, and how low the prices are! These would be low prices even for typical portions, but for portions this huge, it's really a deal. Try the eggs benedict, it is one of the very best benedicts that we have ever tasted! Very highly recommended.

Bubbles Restaurant is a family restaurant that is just one of those cozy little neighborhood affairs where everybody in town has memorized the menu. They of course serve breakfast all day, which we love, and nine times out of ten that's what we come in for. The frittatas and omelettes are our favorite things here, and you can't go wrong when you pair one of those with those famous home fries. The macaroni and cheese is also very good here. If you're not going for breakfast, try the steaks and chicken, or perhaps the pork chops. Very good hamburgers and sandwiches too. No matter what you order here, it's home made and really delicious. Always well prepared and cooked to order.

Oriental Chinese Restaurant is located in a little strip mall, so it's easily overlooked, but don't! They've got wonderful Chinese food that's just perfect for takeout. They've got nearly sixty daily lunch specials that can be had for between four and five bucks, plus a couple dozen combination plates that can be yours for between six and seven bucks! You can't beat these prices. When the weather is cold they've got some special family deals too for just over twenty dollars, so you can feed your whole family on the cheap. We love the lo mein, the fried rice, and the egg rolls. Really great steamed dumplings and wonton soup too! don't miss the General Tso's or the Mu Shu Pork. Delish!

Bomba's Pizzeria is a great place to go for pizza and wings when you are in the Mechanicville area. The only thing that we can possibly complain about here is that sometimes our food takes longer than they say it will, but we'd rather have that be the case than have it done too soon and have to pick it up cold! The wings are very good, nice and juicy with lots of sauce. And in terms of the pizzas, they have a huge variety of specialty pizzas that we know you'll really enjoy. We've always been treated to very good service here, and they're open pretty late so you can get a nice bite to eat when the rest of the restaurants have closed up shop for the night. We love this place for both takeout and delivery!

Hildreth's Restaurant has been around longer than any of the restaurants in Mechanicville -- since 1963! The reason that it has stood the test of time is that it's casual comfy with lots of great homemade food. They keep it simple here, and that's why people keep on coming back for more. They've got a separate room that you can rent for parties, so keep that in mind for any events that you have coming up. The restaurant is open between Wednesday and Sunday for dinner, breakfast on Sundays, and lunch on Fridays. You will love all the great American food here, from meatloaf to pot roast, from ham steak to pasta, plus all the burgers, salads, sandwiches, seafood, and steak that you could ever want! Very highly recommended!

Bucciero's Pizzeria & Restaurant is just unbelievable when it comes to delicious pizza! We adore the way they pile up all the cheese an toppings on those delicious crusts... You'll never see a better looking pizza than theirs, and it tastes just as good as it looks! The prices are nice and low here too. We paid less than fourteen dollars for an eight cut round pizza with sausage and peppers. You can't beat that price, especially in this area! We love to come in and pick up a huge order for our entire family or for a large group of our friends, and no matter how big that order is, somehow the crew at Bucciero's always gets it ready fast and on time. Always a great meal, and always a low price. Great place to dine anytime.

Peking Wok Chinese Restaurant is hidden away in a strip mall next to a dollar store, but don't let that exterior fool you. This restaurant is a real gem. They've got an open kitchen so you can see them crafting your amazing meal, and there are a few tables here for dining if you prefer to dine in instead of opting for takeout. This is one of the healthier places for Chinese food in the area, since they don't use MSG and they have lots of steamed entrees on the menu for you to choose from. They're open pretty late too, until 10:00 PM most days, and until 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays! Try the roast pork fried rice and the egg rolls! Very good. The shrimp lo mein also has amazing flavor. Love this place!

Faldoni's Deli & Catering Co is one of our favorite places to go for a really great sandwich! They use Boar's Head meats here, which really makes for a much better sandwich than you will find elsewhere. It's cut to order too! We would very highly recommend the sandwich special, which will cost you less than seven dollars and it's packed with roasted turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, cheese (delicious swiss), and russian dressing. It's served on a ciabatta roll (multi grain) and it comes with chips. What a great meal! The philly cheese steak is also fantastic, and you'll also love their paninis and cold salads as well as their soups and breakfast items. Everything is just fantastic here. Very highly recommended!

Speaking of great subs, Sub King is our other top choice for a really mean sandwich in the Mechanicville area! They're working hard to compete with that certain chain restaurant that's always pushing their five dollar subs... you can get a twelve inch for five bucks right here too, and it's even fresher with a much more homemade taste than any chain restaurant could ever give you. They're well crafted, never messy, and always full of flavor. They've got lots of delicious extras too, including pizzas, appetizers, paninis, pastas, salads, and drinks. You'll be able to put together a really great lunch for yourself here, and it's also a great quick stop for dinner after a long day at work.

End Zone Sports Pub & Restaurant is one of our favorite places in the area to stop in and enjoy a few brewskis while watching the big game on TV! There are plenty of televisions scattered throughout the bar so you can catch the game no matter where you're sitting, and they've got some of the best pizza in town so you can nosh while you drink and watch the game! The service is really very friendly and fast, and we've never had anything but a completely awesome time here. Very comfortable seating, a very nice bar, and even good prices for all the quality that you receive. We'd very highly recommend this place for a night out with your buddies, especially if you all love to watch sports! Gotta love it!
