Saffron
has a wonderful lunch buffet that we would recommend to anyone looking
for a great escape in the middle of a hard work day, and we also love
coming in for dinner with a group of friends and family. We absolutely
love their chicken tikka masala, and the mango lassi is also amazing.
The service here is really wonderful, and that high quality also
extends to the staff in the back of the restaurant. They really know
how to craft these amazing dishes, and as the customer you get to reap
all the rewards of that. You'll love the cozy atmosphere too. Some
think that you can only get good Indian food in NYC, but Saffron is
Zagat rated, so you know it's good. Come in and find out for yourself. 130 Dolson Ave Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 344-0005
Something Sweet Dessert Cafe
is a real essential in Middletown! We love the fact that they have
chosen to focus exclusively on desserts, because that's clearly their
gift! This establishment has been gracing Middletown with its presence
since 2004, and we just love the cute decor. It's so nice to come in
and grab a delicious coffee, some cookies or cake or whatever your
favorite dessert may be, and just relax. We are big fans of their brie
appetizer, and we also love their french onion soup! The chocolate tart
is just ridiculously addictive, so much that we have come in for it
several times and grabbed an extra to go for later! Be sure to try it
when you come in. One of our highest recommendations goes to Something
Sweet. 17 North St Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 343-2233
Nina
is rumored to be the very best restaurant in Middletown, and we are
inclined to think that rumor is fact! We absolutely love their
selection of liquors and spirits here, especially because they've
always got Hendrick's Gin. We've been here several times for their
delicious brunch on Sundays, and the french toast with bananas and
chocolate sauce is one of the major reasons to turn out for that! Way
too good. They've got wonderful appetizers here too including a seafood
crepe and wonderful calamari. The cajun chicken pasta is an excellent
choice for your entree, and for a brewski you can't go wrong with a
belgian pale ale. They've got everything that you love here and then
some. Great service too. 27 West Main St Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 344-6800
El Tapatio
is THE place for authentic Mexican food in Middletown! It's very
traditional and true comfort food. If you're used to the more "chain
restaurant" type of Mexican food, this may be a change of pace for you.
It's not so loaded with cheese and sauce because they don't have
anything to cover up here. Everything is delicious all the way through.
The restaurant is always packed with happy customers enjoying their
chicken flautas, shredded beef tacos, and of course that amazing cactus
salad and the fresh guac! We can't get enough of all the fresh
offerings here, and one of the perks that we especially enjoy is that
jukebox that's filled with traditional Mexican music! Gotta love it! 252 Rt 211 E Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 343-3292
Famous Deli-Licious Italian Pork Store
is fit for foodies and then some! Everybody that we know goes wild over
this place, recommending it to everyone they know, and now we know why.
You can go bargain basement with a simple ham and cheese sandwich, or
opt for something like the veal and really find out what true quality
is about! Whether you go cheap or luxurious though, everything here is
excellent. We can't seem to come in without spending a huge chunk of
change on a ton of good stuff to take home! But then that's what we're
there for. Pricey? Yes. But totally worth it. A huge hero sandwich can
set you back almost fifteen dollars, but you won't regret it! 130 Dolson Ave Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 344-3222
El Bandido
is an awesome Mexican restaurant where you can get amazing food,
including superbly fresh guacamole that's worth even a long trip, and
delicious sangria that will really make your mouth water. The prices
are a bit high here, but you definitely get what you pay for. Some say
there's too much cheese on everything, but we are cheese lovers so we
disagree--however you may want to tell them to go light on the cheese
if you're not as big of a fan as we are! We love the dark vibe and the
art on the walls, and the live mariachi music is very cool too! Even
though so many complain about the high prices (and they ARE high), we
really love this place and think it's worth it. Use your own judgement. 536 E Main St Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 343-2958
Blue Finn
is an absolutely irresistible sushi bar that we have been coming to for
quite some time now. They've got a lot of delicious offerings beyond
just the sushi, including delicious fried pork dumplings, fresh soups,
delicious Asian fish and chips, and even fresh cod with carmelized
garlic and spinach. Now those are some flavors that are worth writing
about! The tempura calamari is a very nice starter too, and the spicy
tuna rolls are one of our favorite things to get here. They've got a
very unique roll that combines tuna, apple, and cheddar (sorry we can't
remember the name of this one!) that we would recommend very highly.
The white dragon roll is another one of our favorites. Reasonable
prices here too! 157 Dolson Ave Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 342-5542
Cheeseburger in Paradise
is a part of that famous Jimmy Buffet chain of restaurants of course,
and we always love coming in for some of their famous food and
drinks. The cheeseburgers, ironically, have never really done it for us
here and it seems that a lot of people feel the same way that we do.
The rest of the menu, though, is stellar. Tthey've got a lot more than
just cheeseburgers here! The conch fritters are a very nice choice for
a starter and we also enjoy the spinach and crab dip. The island
quesadilla is one of our favorite items too, and paired with a nice
pina colada, which is rich and creamy like a milk shake, you'll really
feel like you're living it up on an Island somewhere. Gotta love it! 340 Route 211 E Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 343-9252
Planet Wings
is all about... you guessed it... wings! They've got a wild variety of
other foods here too though, including a philly cheese steak sandwich
that will make your mouth water. We recommend ordering it with "extra
everything" -- grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and melted cheese --
and it'll really be an extra juicy and delicious cheesesteak. Try the
chicken variation of that too, it's wonderful, and it makes sense since
the focus of this restaurant is chicken anyway! The curly fries are
perfect to pair with anything, and they go well with all 24 flavors of
wings. The honey barbecue is irresistible, and everybody seems to love
the medium. Try them all! 215 Wickham Ave Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 344-0511
You You Restaurant
is a great little Chinese restaurant with Americanized portions for
those hearty appetites. The moo shu pork is one of our favorites here,
and everyone that we know really loves it too. Try the sweet and sour
pork too, that's always a nice choice. The pu pu platter is a nice
choice when you are having a lot of guests too because everybody can
grab a bite of something. It seems like almost all of the restaurants
in this area are chain restaurants, and we're happy to say that's not
the case with You You. There's only one of these, and we love it. Try
the pork buns and the sesame chicken too! Everything is just so good
here, including the service. Very comfortable place to dine anytime. 465 Rt. 211E Middletown, NY 10940 (845) 342-2000
