Don Coqui
is an exquisite Latin restaurant and bar, and the flavors that you will
discover here will definitely leave a lasting impression on you. We
find ourselves craving the food at this restaurant so badly, and it's
worth even a very long drive. We love the plantain encrusted red
snapper, and it's so good with the mashed yuca as a side! Speaking of
that delectable yuca, they also have pernil wrapped in it, and it's so
good. It can be quite busy here so you may have to wait for a table,
but take that opportunity to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink or two.
The drinks are really wonderful, and definitely worth the price. The
shrimp and steak topped with plantains is one of our favorite dishes.
So creamy and good! 115 Cedar St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 637-3737
Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar...
some people say it's overrated but we really love it! We're not big on
chain establishments, but this is the one exception. The incredible
amount of sauces that they have for the wings is the big draw for us,
and of course you can get them boneless or regular. We prefer the
regular wings because they're so juicy and flavorful! The wings get all
the attention here, but they've also got great salads and sandwiches so
don't overlook the rest of the menu! Lots of great appetizers and
drinks too. Try the Buffalo Zoo if you want a big strong one! This is
one of the largest B. Dub's that we've ever been to, and the waitstaff
is really on top of things. Excellent food, great service, and always a
great party spot on the weekends! 33 LeCount Pl New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 637-9453
Coromandel Cuisine of India
is the top spot for Indian food in New Rochelle. They've got incredible
chicken tikka masala that's priced right and the flavor is to die
for... so creamy and spiced just right! They've got great naan too, and
delicious lamb, chicken, and fish dishes, as well as a nice selection
of vegetarian fare. Try the lamb pasanda or the saag paneer, they are
both really memorable dishes and very flavorful. We love to come in and
take advantage of their lunch buffet which is of course all you can
eat. That's a great way to introduce yourself to all the flavors of
Indian food if you have never tried it before! We like the fact
that they offer a free lunch after every sixth buffet purchase. Very
cool! 30 Division St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 235-8390
Little Mexican Cafe is
a great place for Mexican food in New Rochelle, with our favorite thing
on the menu being the pozole. This is of course made with delectable
pork and chewy hominy, and it makes for a very hearty dish that will
really satisfy both your tastebuds and your appetite. They've also got
the standard dishes that you see at most Americanized Mexican
restaurants like chimichangas, burritos, churros, etc., but the
difference here is that everything is more authentic and very well
prepared. They've got top shelf margaritas here that are really off the
charts in terms of flavor, and yet not off the charts in terms of
price, so that's the perfect pairing for your meal! Great portions,
great prices, great service! 581 Main St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 636-3926
Cholos Kitchen
is another Latin restaurant that we love in the area, this time with a
Peruvian slant. The portions here are nothing short of giant, and
they've got amazing seafood "soups" that are really much closer to a
stew! Very hearty and filling. The papas rellenas is probably our
favorite dish here, and they've also got some amazing fried corn nuts
that come with your meal. They come with a really tantalizing green
sauce that you won't be able to get enough of (watch out: it's very
spicy!). The onion and cilantro salad is also very refreshing, and the
salad that comes with goat cheese and grilled chicken is one of the
best things on the menu in our opinion! Everything's so good, and a
great wine list too. Very highly recommended! 4 Lawton St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 235-0094
We hope you don't mind us recommending three Latin restaurants in a row, but they are all so good! The Mexican Corner Restaurant
makes this list because they have some of the most authentic Mexican
food that we have ever tasted. We absolutely adore their nachos
vegitarianos which is just overflowing with huge slices of avocado.
They also have delicious fried plantains that come with delicious sour
cream. The perfect pairing! You can't go wrong with any dish that
features mole sauce. It's so rich and flavorful. They've always got a
fresh juice of the day too, squeezed right there on the premises, and
that is the perfect refreshing treat to go along with your meal. Don't
miss this place! 497 Main St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 813-3312
AJ's Burgers
is instantly recognizable by that familiar red exterior and the boxy
building that it's situated in. As soon as you see it you just start
craving those incredible burgers! The hamburgers are grilled to order
rather than being one of those "all burgers are well done" kind of
places, and they use potato rolls instead of hamburger buns, and that
makes all the difference! They have excellent french fries here that
are perfectly crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside. Gotta
love it. They also have delicious barbecued chicken here that you
cannot resist. They keep it very clean here, and it's got very nice
diner ambiance! Very cool place to go any time you're hungry in
New Rochelle! 542 N Ave New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 235-3009
Spadaro
is an awesome Italian restaurant in New Rochelle, and we have been here
many times for their wonderful food! For some reason a lot of reviews
online claim that this is a cash only restaurant, and that is not true,
so don't worry about that. They've got some really fantastic pastas
here that are worth even a long trip, and we have in fact made that
long trek just for the pasta! It's that good. There's one that features
ricotta cheese and eggplant, and the flavor and consistency of that
dish is just too good to believe. There's a reason that people rave
about this place, and if you've managed to somehow not try it all this
time, it's about time that you do! One of our highest recommendations. 211 E Main St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 235-4595
El Tio...
OK, one more Mexican restaurant for the road. We can't help it. This
one is just so good. The first thing that pops into our minds when we
think of El Tio is the amazing fresh raspberry mojitos. They are truly
addictive. We love to come in and enjoy their fresh chips and
guacamole, as well as their fresh salsa, and you simply cannot go wrong
by ordering either their sizzling fajitas or giant burritos. The steak
burrito is our favorite, and once you've had one, you know you'll be
back for another very soon! Great chicken enchiladas too. The service
is very good here and the ambiance is charming too. The prices, it's
true, are a little too high. But if that keeps them in business then
we're happy to pay a premium, because this kind of Mexican food is all
too difficult to find! 25 Anderson St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 633-8686
Posto 22 Restaurant & Wine Bar
is just incredible when it comes to delicious Italian food and wine.
The Monday night prix-fixe menu is a big draw for us, and we would very
highly recommend the eggplant rollatini to you. They also have a
porcini mushroom dish that will really knock your socks off. After
you've filled up on all that delicious food and fresh sangria, you'll
want to dive right into their amazing dessert menu if you've got any
room left! Or perhaps you'll want to head straight over to the bar to
relax the rest of the night away with a few more drinks. It's just so
incredibly comfortable here that you'll want to sit and stay for a
while. Definitely one of our top choices in this city. 22 Division St New Rochelle, NY 10801 (914) 235-2464
