Brooks House of Barbecue
is one of the most beloved restaurants in Oneonta, with some of the
tastiest barbecue food that you will ever taste. If you're a lover of
barbecued chicken, you will definitely want to try a big plate of
theirs, and we think that a heaping plate of fixings from their fresh
and crisp salad bar is the perfect pairing with that! Note that you'll
always find yourself waiting in line here, which is one of our personal
pet peeves, but the lines are never longer than five minutes or so, so
it flies by. Not a problem at all. We love the meal that includes a
quarter of a chicken, pulled pork, access to the salad bar, fresh
bread, and a drink. It's just a little more than a ten spot. Where else
can you get that much food for this low cost? We love it here and we
know you will too! 5560 State Hwy 7 Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 432-1782
The Autumn Cafe
is a really lovely place to go for a romantic evening with your loved
one, or even for a cozy dinner with family or friends. It's so
comfortable, you'll feel like you're at home. So warm and friendly. Of
course the staff has a hand in making it feel that way, because they
are so welcoming and happy to see you whether you're a regular or a
brand new customer. The beer selection here is REALLY noteworthy. We
love the enchiladas here, and the crab cakes are fantastic too! Really
wonderful guacamole too! It's great to come in on the weekends and
enjoy their crisp refreshing bellinis on that outdoor deck. There is
nothing better than that. Very highly recommended. 244 Main St Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 432-6845
Neptune Diner
is one of those little diners that feels like a leftover from the
fifties, and we love it! They have some of the best diner fare we have
ever had the pleasure of eating. What kind of diner serves a delicious
Cuban panini? Mmm. It's so good. Of course they've also got all your
standard diner favorites like hamburgers and onion rings, and when you
take a peek into those dessert cases you'll really fall in love! If you
come in for breakfast, you can get a hearty amount of eggs, breakfast
meats, and toast, and the prices aren't too bad here either. Definitely
higher than most diners, but again, the quality is higher than most
diners too. This is also one of the few places that stays open past
ten! So if you're looking for a late night after-bar spot, this is it. 5001 Rt 23 Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 432-8820
The Depot
is just too addictive. We're really hooked on those amazing garbage
wings. Don't let that name put you off, they are amazing! They don't
have a lot of beers on draft here, but they have a really huge
selection of bottled beers which we really enjoy. They're also known
for their delicious wimpy burgers, and of course their wonderful pizza
and curly fries. They make their own fresh bleu cheese dressing here
too, and since we're big fans of the bleu, we really appreciate that.
Their spinach and artichoke dip is also really wonderful! The amount of
food that you get for such a low price is also noteworthy. Very highly
recommended! 4 1/2 Railroad Ave Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 433-2074
Undercover Eggplant
is known for its amazing sandwiches. We are big fans of the one that is
piled high with chicken, artichokes, red onions, greens, and cheese.
That flavor is just unbelievable. They also have a chicken sandwich
that's piled high with hot peppers, pepper cheese, and onions. All of
those flavors are the reason that we find ourselves here time and time
again. For a side, we would very highly recommend the macaroni salad.
It's always good, and we can never resist it! They have a very nice
selection of drinks here, including the HFCS-free variety plus natural
juices! Gotta love that. Decent prices here too, and such great service
and ambiance. Always a great dining experience here. 421 Chestnut St Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 432-1340
Mama Nina's Oneonta Pizza
is another pizzeria in the Oneonta area that we just couldn't bear to
leave off this list. They always have such a friendly staff here though
it does change frequently since a lot of them are high school students
who move on to college shortly after. We really love to get their
stromboli here, it's enormous and so flavorful. The big news here is
that they have done some renovations in recent years and it looks very
nice. Always good to upgrade something that's already good! Try the
seafood fra diavolo and the eggplant rollatini. These are two of our
favorite items on the menu and you just can't beat that for dinner.
Grab a pizza to go with that too and you'll have plenty of leftovers
for later on! One of the top choices on this list, without a doubt. 299 Main St Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 431-9800
Athens Greek Restaurant
is a great place to go for some Greek food that's authentic,
inexpensive, and incredibly good. We really love their gyros here that
are packed with all the essential fillings and smothered in that
delicious cucumber sauce that makes them over-the-top good! They have
wonderful fries too, and really good falafel. They've got a very nice
patio that you'll want to enjoy when the weather is good, and something
that goes along so well with that warm weather is an ice cold beer, of
which they have a very nice selection! We really think you'll enjoy
this place anytime you're in the Oneonta area, so that's why we're
recommending it to you here. Wonderful moussaka too! 214 Main St Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 431-2140
Corfu Diner
is just a very cozy little diner with traditional diner food that
everybody loves. We are big fans of it because of that salad bar, which
is always kept fresh and crisp. The food is super cheap here, so you
can definitely save a few bucks while fueling up in the middle of a
long day. Try the hamburgers and sandwiches, they are all generously
sized and really tasty. We also enjoy their eggs and breakfast dishes.
It doesn't matter what time of day you come in, you will be able to
find something that will satisfy you completely. Interesting Greek and
Thai selections too! Good service and a laid back atmosphere. You'll be
surprised that the staff will remember you even if a long time passes
between visits. Good people, good food, good atmosphere! 139 Main St Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 643-0232
Stella Luna Ristorante
is the place to go in Oneonta if you are craving delicious Italian food
in a cozy atmosphere. They keep it pretty traditional here with the
kind of decor you'd expect at a nice Italian restaurant. The menu is
pretty traditional as well, with all your favorites plus maybe a couple
of unusual surprises. We especially enjoy the lunch special which won't
break your budget. You get soup and salad or a hearty sandwich,
and it's just under six dollars for the whole shebang. We love the
oricchete here, and the shrimp scampi is really delicious too. Very
nice sole and other fish entrees too. The service is very good, and
we'd recommend this for a relaxed dinner with friends anytime. Always a
good time here. 58 Market St Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 433-7646
Morey's Family Restaurant & Catering
has always been a comfortable place to dine, and we have also heard
that they have really good catering services. Breakfast is our meal of
choice here, and we love having the ham and cheese omelette the best,
as well as the delicious stacked pancakes! So good. If you're a fan of
potato pancakes they have some really good ones here, and they taste
really good with the applesauce that comes with them. They do the bacon
extra crispy here, which isn't usually the way we like it, but it's
very good. Very unique decor here including doll houses. You won't find
this kind of ambiance anywhere else. We almost forgot to mention that
delicious spinach omelette--be sure to give that one a try next time
you're in Oneonta! Very highly recommended, it's so very tasty and good. E End Oneonta, NY 13820 (607) 432-6664
