Len & Jo's is just as good as it gets for pizza in Port Jervis! We simply adore this place. It's honestly not that the food is of such gourmet quality here, because it's more of a home style kind of cooking, just hearty and good. It's really about the ambiance, that retro leftover-from-the-sixties feel that makes you feel so at home, and it just seems like all the locals are so loyal to this place because it's always been here and it always will be. The dining areas are where we have spent most of our time here, but there's also a great bar (with a very "neighborhood bar" feel to it that everybody loves) where you'll definitely want to sit and spend some time. Try the garlic bread here, and definitely opt for the birch beer if you're drinking. Two thumbs up from us!

Erie Hotel & Family Restaurant  is another retro slice of the past that we just couldn't bear to leave off this list. They've got such a nice menu here, full of heart warming comfort food that will really serve you right when you have been on the road for far too long. They've got those wonderful onion blooms like that chain restaurant but better, and it comes with a hefty serving of horseradish to really kick up the heat. Mmm mmm good! The hamburgers are one of our favorite things here, and we would definitely opt for the egg on top if we were you! It always takes a burger to the next level, and that's definitely the case here at Erie. The hotel is nice to stay in too if you need a place to crash in the area! Very nice overall ambiance and good service too. Highly recommended.

Gino's Tavern & Restaurant is a place that's great for special occasions and intimate evenings with the one you love. You can come in and get many of your favorites here. We are huge fans of the spaghetti, it's just like homemade and really takes us back to the good old days. It's that good! The service here is really on a completely different level, as is the ambiance! It's beautifully decorated for those romantic dates, and you can tell that whoever did the decor here really had an eye for detail. You can just sink back into one of those comfy booths and relax the evening away with a glass of red or white and your favorite entree. We recommend not skipping the appetizers or desserts!

Port Jervis Pizza is another one of our favorite pizzerias in the Port Jervis area, this one conveniently found on Pike Street. The pizzas are cooked in a brick oven now, which has taken the quality of the food here to a completely different level than it used to be. We love to get a huge pizza pie with green peppers and pepperoni. The flavor is just out of this world. You get plenty of pizza even with the smaller options, and they really put on the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings to showcase the flavor of that delicious crust. Many have said that this is the best pizza in Port Jervis, and we are inclined to agree! Always a nice time here with friends or family or that special someone. Very highly recommended any time you are visiting the Port Jervis area.

Good Friends Chinese Restaurant  is a great place to go on a cold day to warm up with some of that wonderful hot and sour soup that they are famous for! Well, famous in the immediate area anyway! Everyone that we know just loves that soup. It's true that this is your basic Americanized Chinese takeout restaurant, no frills, and nothing to look at, but if you can appreciate it for what it is, then you're the person we wrote this review for! The food is really good, served in nice large portions, and the staff here is always super friendly too. If you need a fast yet filling meal in Port Jervis, you'd be hard pressed to find a better takeout restaurant than this one!

Cornucopia Restaurant & Inn is one of our favorite places to go for truly delicious and authentic German and Continental food! Mmm it's just soo good. We love the traditional German decor that really makes you feel right at home. If you really love potato pancakes, we think you'll be really pleased with the ones that they make here. They're so good, very fluffy and just chewy enough. Never tough. The beef and cabbage soup is really a very nice complement to any meal, and we're always sure to get it when we come here. The jager schnitzel and the pork paprikas are our two favorite things on the menu and we would very highly recommend them to you! Don't miss this wonderful restaurant.

Restaurant at 20 Front is a really  nice upscale restaurant situated in a building with a rich history right in downtown Port Jervis. They've got some of the very best sandwiches in town here, so if you are looking for a really filling and delicious lunch that's also a cut above the rest, you will definitely want to stop in. You cannot go wrong with any of the entrees and appetizers, and we really love the desserts and drinks too. We've been here several times in the past year and we have been treated to nothing but the highest quality service when we're there. The ambiance is really in a class of its own, very nicely decorated and comfortable seating too. We're certain that you'll love it as much as we do.

Mountain View Restaurant Pizza & Deli is another great place to grab a pizza or a sandwich when you're in Port Jervis. There are only a few restaurants in the area that will deliver, and this is one of them! We love that. Lots of people know about their delicious pizza and those generously sized sandwiches, but something that seems to fly under the radar is those amazing wings! Oh boy are they fantastic. Just the right amount of sauce with the right amount of spice... a really good kick, and all the flavor you expect. We love to go in with a group of friends and split a pizza, a salad, and wings. That's the perfect trio if you ask us. Give this one a try next time you're on Route 209!

Deerpark Cafe is a very nice restaurant where you can go with your family to enjoy a hearty meal and each other's company. It's also cozy enough for those romantic dates, and casual enough for lunches with friends. You may have known this one as Santantie's in its previous incarnation, but don't expect the same old thing when you come in now. It's all been redone and the menu is totally new, and it's a refreshing change of pace right here on Highway 6. We've had nothing but pleasant dining experiences here and we feel very comfortable recommending this place to you!

Arlene & Tom's Restaurant is an awesome greasy spoon where you can kick back and enjoy yourself. The burgers here are really wonderful, if you love those plain diner burgers as much as we do! Greasy, flavorful, on a nice warm bun... it's just the way you've always liked it. The french fries are very good here too, and how about those jalapeno poppers? We love the ambiance here so that's one of the things that keeps us coming back too. Our only complaint is that the prices are a little high for the area and for the kind of food, but if you've got some money to blow through, this is a good place to do it!
