Teddy's Restaurant is a very nice Italian and American establishment where you can grab some delicious fried fish, pasta dishes, and other entrees... and they are known for their chicken riggies, which is basically pasta with chicken, onions, peppers, olives, and mushrooms in a cream wine sauce. They say they've held the chicken riggie title for three years in a row and are now in the hall of fame. We don't know the first thing about that but we don't care! All we know is that they are delish! Mmm, so good. The locals really go crazy over this one, so we had to give it a try when we were last in the area, and boy are we glad we did. The steaks are very good from what we have heard too. One of the best things about this place is that if you are really hungry, you get nice big portions here. It's just so comfortable here, you'll want to kick back and relax after your meal. You'll love it!

The Savoy Restaurant is an upscale Italian restaurant on East Dominick Street that we would very highly recommend for any special occasions or just any evening when you want a really memorable dinner. It's been here for over one hundred years and has been owned by the same family for all that time. That alone is impressive and definitely a reason to visit. It's very old fashioned here with old photos hanging lovingly on the walls, and you won't be surprised at all if you hear Frank Sinatra crooning on the radio. Our favorite things here are the basics, such as eggplant parmesan, a nice large pizza pie, or a rich and delicious pasta. The salads, too, are noteworthy! Try to come in when Rick Montalbano is providing the live piano music, that's always a treat!

Franklin Hotel is a great place to stay when you are in Rome, New York -- but for our purposes we'll focus on the restaurant! The steak is just amazing here, always perfectly cooked to order and served with huge quantities of potatoes and vegetables. They've got a nice beer selection too, which is always a plus when you're out of town and want to escape the confines of the four walls of your hotel room. Having a few pints always fixes that in no time. It's not really the most impressive in terms of ambiance, though it's very cozy, homey, and old fashioned. It's nice for date nights with your significant other who you have known for a while, but to impress someone new, it's a little run down. Best vodka sauce around, you will not find any that's better than this! Very highly recommended.

The Garage is our favorite place to go for pizza in Rome, and our favorite thing has got to be the spinach and feta pizza! Mmm so good. They've got wonderful pitas and tzatziki sauce here too, and we recommend that you get that alongside your pizza. It's the perfect pairing. The pink pizza is a big hit too, made with ricotta and red sauce, and if you haven't tried that particular combination of tastes, you are really in for something special. Their gyros and wings are also really wonderful, just made perfectly and so flavorful! The waitstaff is always so friendly here and they're so quick to prepare and serve your food . Some say the prices are too high here, but we say they're just right for the quality of the food. Truly good stuff, and not to be missed "when in Rome!"

Forget Me Not Cafe is located in a historic old building on James Street, and we just love that unforgettable ambiance. They're open for breakfast and lunch, and we love coming in for both. Many say that this is the best breakfast and lunch spot in the area, even rivaling some of those famous ones in NYC. We've only been to this cafe a couple of times but we have been incredibly impressed with it so far. The omelettes are the thing that we were instantly drawn to, partly because of all the high reviews we have heard, and partly because they just sounded so good to us! We definitely did not regret that choice! They were the fluffiest omelettes we've ever had, just stuffed with cheese and veggies and meat, and really just the best ever. That's all we've had here so far but our friends assure us that everything on the menu is just as good. Very highly recommended!

La Roma Pizzeria and Restaurant is a nice choice for pizza when you're here in Rome. There's not much to look at here and it's really more of a takeout restaurant. We recommend just calling in and picking up that pizza to enjoy either at home or perhaps on one of our party buses! They really put together a very nice pizza here, with just the right consistency to the crust, just the right amount of sauce that's not too sweet or too tangy, and the perfect amount of cheese and toppings sprinkled liberally all over that... baked up just perfectly to become the perfect pizza pie! We've been relying on this place for years and feel very comfortable recommending it to you for takeout. Love it!

Cozy Cabin Restaurant is so cute and kitschy! We just love walking up to that exterior that really looks like an old cabin, and the interior definitely doesn't disappoint either! This is one of the newest restaurants on this list, having been here for only a couple of years maximum at the time of this review. Though the cabin ambiance would suggest a low key dining experience, the food is actually more of the fine dining type, and we love it. The prices though, are nice and low! Very surprising quality and prices here. We really enjoy the gourmet dishes here, from the soups to the entrees. They have an incredible filet mignon sandwich that's piled high with onions, cheese, and peppers, and if that doesn't make your mouth water then we don't know what will. Ask to sit near the fireplace when the weather is cool, it will really add to your dining experience!

Delta Lake Inn has a very charming location on Fish Hatchery Road, and you will not find a better view than this. You can see the Lake Delta Dam as well as the golf course, so it's really a visual treat as well as being a treat for your tastebuds. They've got an open faced sandwich with grilled steak, greens, and cheese, and that is just out of this world. Pair that with some French onion soup and you really have a meal that's world class. There's also a Buffalo chicken sandwich that we would recommend very highly to you. The entrees are noteworthy, including lots of great pastas, seafood, steaks, and chicken. The pie is very good here, especially the Key Lime, so don't miss that! Very highly recommended for special occasions or just for a very memorable meal anytime!

Colonial Inn has been here as long as we can remember, and that longevity is a testament to the quality of this lovely restaurant. The appetizers are really  good here, and we're big fans of the deep fried mushrooms in particular! Those are always a treat anywhere, but they're especially good here. They've got some fabulous sandwiches here, and they are really known for that pizza! Perfect crust, sauce, cheese and toppings... mmm, we want to go get one just talking about it!  This restaurant is very good for dining with groups, and it's a nice place for families with kids too. There's a full bar if you'd like to enjoy a drink or two before or after your meal, and we really enjoy sitting there and chatting with our friends before we have dinner. Very nice place any day of the week!

China House is really just a tiny take out restaurant, but we had to include it on this list because their food is just so good. It's perfect for a quick stop when you're traveling on one of our party buses, because you can just grab some of their wonderful takeout and enjoy it on the road! All of our friends recommend this one very highly and they've had most of the specials here so they know what they're talking about. Personally we have only had their broccoli chicken with vegetable fried rice, and that's what we get every single time because it's just so good! One of those dishes that you get hooked on and just stick with it. Definitely recommended for a quick and hearty meal whenever you're in Rome!
