Bar-B-Que
is a truly unique restaurant on Willow Street that everybody just
loves. Let's talk food first. The Tres Hombres platter is a favorite
among all the people who come here regularly, and we would very highly
recommend it too! The collard greens are done just perfectly here, and
they have a macaroni and cheese that will really drive you wild. Their
dirty rice is really fantastic, and that goes so well with their famous
ribs. For dessert you will definitely want to save room for that key
lime pie. No doubt, that's the best choice, at least as far as we are
concerned! Don't miss the fried green tomatoes here, and of
course try the brisket and the pulled pork. Those are just the best.
The service is really wonderful here, very friendly and fast too!
Highly recommended!

Strong Hearts Cafe
is a sensational vegan and vegetarian restaurant on Genesee Street in
Syracuse, and we just go crazy for everything that they offer here. The
milkshakes are one of the most highly recommended items, and once you
try it you will understand why. You'd never know these were vegan.
Their spicy tofu scramble is a nice choice fror lunch or dinner, and
earlier in the day you will really love having their peanut butter and
jelly French toast. Mmm! So good we started trying to replicate that
same flavor at home. Try the Reuben and the chicken salad too! The
dedication to protecting the environment here is really noteworthy, and
it's rumored that this is hte absolute best vegan restaurant in the
entire city. That says a lot! Very highly recommended to anyone who
appreciates a great healthy meal.

Pastabilities
is of course a charming Italian restaurant with a heavy focus on
everybody's favorite part of the menu... PASTA! Many people say this is
the best place to dine in the Franklin Street area or Armory Square,
and we definitely wouldn't argue with that! Their spicy hot tomato oil
is one of our favorite things here and it tastes good on just about
anything. Their dipping sauce, which serves as an appetizer with bread,
is one of the main attractions here and everybody loves it! The
carbonara is always a nice choice for your entree, and the alfredo is
also very good! The only downside to this place is that it has that
"chain restaurant" feel to it, which we don't ordinarily enjoy.
However, it's very nicely decorated here and we really do enjoy the
ambiance. Great service and stellar pasta. Highly recommended!

Alto Cinco
is an incredible Mexican restaurant on Westcott Street that has not
only delicious Mexican food and wonderful vegetarian and vegan items,
but they also have a very good beer and wine selection, and it all
pairs very well with your meal. We recommend having a Michelada, which
is a Mexican beer with lime and hot sauce with a salted rim just like a
margarita. Mmm! Some have raved about this being the best Mexican food
they have ever tasted, and that says a lot. The staff is super friendly
and very quick to bring you whatever you need. The salmon burrito is
one of our favorite things here, and we also really enjoy the pizza
with black beans and shrimp. The catfish burritos are also very
impressive. By the way, if wine and beer isn't your thing, you can opt
for a Jarritos! Love it!

Empire Brewing Company
is awesome if you're looking for a great burger and a brewski. They've
got great tumbleweed burgers, blue corn bread, and sweet potato fries,
and we just love it all. Believe it or not, they've got a gluten free
menu (this is particularly cool because beer itself is not gluten-free,
so you wouldn't expect it from a brewing company). The cheddar and ale
soup is one of our favorite things here, but they do give you a very
small portion here and you are apt to want a much larger one! Even the
desserts are good here, including that molten chocolate lava cake that
nobody can ever resist! We've had so many good itmes here drinking the
night away and enjoying the company of our good friends, and we hope
that you do the same!

New Century
is a restaurant that specializes in delectable Vietnamese food, and we
would most highly recommend the delicious fresh spring rolls as well as
the beef Pho. In addition to the usual spring rolls you may want to try
the Vietnamese roll which has pork and yam inside it, and it's deep
fried in contrast with the other spring rolls. Very nice change of
pace! Many people have said that this is the best Vietnamese food
they've ever had in America, and that is a large statement to make!
We've only been here a couple of times, but if the quality is always
this consistent, then you are in for a real treat. The vermicelli is
really fantastic here, and if you like rare steak you will definitely
want to try #19. The iced coffee is very good here though it's a bit
steep in terms of price, but we can never resist it. Everything here
comes highly recommended!

Erawan Thai Restaurant
has got your number. They've got all your Thai favorites, and what we
particularly like about this place is that it's somewhere in between
authentic Thai food and the more Amerianized version of it. Though
there are more authentic restaurants in the immediate area, you will
not find a more comfortable and welcoming place than this. The panang
nua is our favorite dish here, and we like it spicy! They give you nice
big portions here so you can take plenty home with you and get two
meals out of it. If you want to come in and enjoy their wonderful food
without spending that not-so-wonderful price, we recommend coming in
for lunch! Lower prices and the same great food. Don't miss this
sensational place when you're in Syracuse next!

Sakana-Ya Sushi Bar
is one of those sushi bars where the food comes to you on a conveyer
belt, and if that's your style you will definitely love this place just
as much as we do! How do we know? Well, that's easy! It all comes down
to the high quality sashimi, the perfectly cooked sticky rice, and the
half off sushi on Mondays of course! Now, what we need to make clear is
that the sushi is of the highest quality here. When compared to the
best of the best, this place holds up. There's no menu here to serve as
a guide for beginners, so if you're new to sushi you may want to bring
a friend with expert status! We love this place for dates and for
casual lunches with friends. Always a good time!

Chorong House Restaurant
is a favorite among lovers of Korean food, and the dish that really
keeps us coming back is the seafood and kimchee pajun. Their bibimbap
is also really amazing, and everybody really enjoys their veggie and
seafood pancake. It feels much like a home rather than a restaurant,
and the service here is very friendly and personable too. You get free
refills on cold dishes like spicy cucumber and kimchi,k which is
incredibly unusual. Seafood lovers will want to make note of their
seafood stew, and if that isn't your style you may want to try the pork
stew instead. Try the dukbokgi too, and the kimchi sundubu. Wow. Very
highly recommended to anyone who loves Korean food!

L'Adour
is of course a French restaurant that is known for its breakfasts and
brunches, but that also serves great lunch and dinner. We would most
highly recommend the croque monsieur and the quiche lorraine to you, as
well as the duck breast. If you love escargot as much as we do, you'll
really enjoy theirs with that parsley and garlic butter! Delicious. All
of the food here pairs very well with their fantastic French martini,
but we'd also recommend any one of the wines that they serve. Your
server can suggest something that will go especially well with your
meal. Don't forget to start things off with that cheese platter.
Everything here is just fantastic, and this restaurant is very highly
recommended!
