Cam's New York Pizzeria
is just a small unassuming pizzeria with a cute awning outside with the
NYC skyline protruding from it, but inside you will find some of the
most delicious pizza in Watertown! The slices are just huge here, and
so flavorful. We really enjoy their spicy wings, and they have a
special that lets you get the pizza and wings together at a reduced
price. Very nice! Note that the large pizzas are beyond large, they are
enormous! Everybody loves that about this place and they are kind of
known for it. The white pizza is probably our favorite here, and we
would recommend that you get sausage on any pizza because it's always
so flavorful. They have great calzones here, very large and really
stuffed full. The garlic knots are fantastic. 25 Public Sq Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 779-8900
1025 Ruyi Japanese Steak House
is one of the most beautiful places to dine in Watertown. We absolutely
adore the subdued lighting, the cozy booths, and the outstanding
service. Of course, the food is divine. The sushi is very good, really
good quality, and it's fun to sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs
prepare their masterpieces. They have very good miso soup and green tea
here too. This isn't the most authentic restaurant around, and it's not
the kind of quality that you would find in NYC, but it's a definite
change of pace from the usual Asian fare in this area, and this is the
best Japanese restaurant in Watertown. All of the tempura rolls are
really delicious here, just perfectly done, and we love their green
dragon roll too. Excellent hibachi fare and steaks too! Recommended! 1025 Arsenal St Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 405-4501
Crystal Restaurant
is a very nice place for some home cooked American food. We're
not sure how long this place has been standing, but it feels like it's
been there a good long while, and we love that retro vibe. Most of the
food here is the kind of thing that you would find at any typical
diner, but again it's all home cooked and really delicious. One item
that really stands out for us is the asparagus fries. We've had them
every time we've been here and probably always will! They're so good.
The coffee is always good too, and we love coming in to warm up with a
hot mug of it when the weather is cold. The service is really
outstanding and the restaurant is just so comfortable. Always a great
place to go for a relaxed meal in a really charming atmosphere! 87 Public Sq Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 782-9938
Apollo Restaurant
is of course a Greek restaurant, a small comfortable diner situated in
a strip mall. Don't let the exterior put you off, it's very nice and
comfy inside. They've got delicious gyros here (try the smothered one!)
that are incredibly moist and juicy, and there is just such a huge
variety of types of gyros here. They deserve an award for that! They're
so plentiful. There's also a very tasty spaghetti done Greek style that
will really satisfy your tastebuds and your tummy. There are some nice
options here for the vegetarian crowd as well. The Greek sampler
platter features a lot of our favorites, like grape leaves, meats, feta
cheese, and hommous. The moussaka is also fantastic here, and we are
big fans of that. For dessert we'd very highly recommend the baklava
ice cream! Too good to believe. 1283 Arsenal Rd Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 788-3569
Maggie's On The River
is our favorite sports bar in Watertown, and we'd venture to say that
most of the Watertown locals would agree with us! It's nice here,
nothing fancy, but nicely decorated and kept very clean, and we love
the fact that the drinks are super cheap and strong, and that they have
pool tables. They've got a lot of local craft brews and microbrews for
you to enjoy, and that's a plus too. In total, more than 40 beers on
tap! It's true that it gets pretty packed in here and when it does, the
service can slow down quite a bit. Your best bet is to head upstairs to
the second or third floor when that happens, it will be quieter and the
service will be better. Dinners are very good here too. 500 Newell St Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 405-4239
Texas Roadhouse
is one of the few chain restaurants that we'll really recommend, and
the reason for that is that the food is just so good and we enjoy the
over the top "everything's bigger in Texas" kind of motif. The bread
and honey cinnamon butter is a huge hit with everybody that dines here,
and you will definitely find yourself fixating on that for a while
before your dinner arrives! Yum! The fried catfish is one of our
favorite things here, and we also really enjoy the steaks that they're
known for! We'd recommend the Dallas cut most highly, it's very tender
and lean and they cook it to order just perfectly, which of course goes
for all the steaks. Note that the wait can be excessively long at
certain times, so try to hit this one when it's not so crazy busy! 20790 State Route 3 Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 785-1946
Art's Jug
is a wonderful Italian restaurant run by the Sboro family, and it's no
question that this is some of the finest home cooked Italian food that
you can obtain in the area. Everyone just loves it. The Montreal
Flatiron is one of our favorite things here, and we also really enjoy
their pizzas and their stuffed flounder. We love the fact that you can
get spaghetti with your dinner instead of the typically requisite
"fries or mashed." You get a basket of delicious Italian bread to nosh
on while you wait for your meal, and they have a nice selection of
beers to keep you busy too. Very good crust on the pizza, just the
perfect flavor to the sauce too, and excellent toppings. Our ultimate
favorite entree is the chicken limone, and we would very highly
recommend that to you. Always a wonderful time! 820 Huntington St Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 782-9764
Koreana Restaurant
is of course a Korean restaurant, and though there's not much to look
at here, the food and the service are really out of this world. They
have some of the best dumplings that we have ever had, and we love
their beef bulgogi and the kimchi. The bibimbap is also wonderful here,
and they have a seafood casserole that is a very nice choice as well.
One of the best things about this place is the price. For all that
excellent food, the price doesn't even come close to what you'd imagine
you'd be paying. You'll be pleasantly shocked when the bill comes.
Definitely one of our favorite places to dine in Watertown, and very
highly recommended to you! Pearl Street Rd Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 786-7830
Wing Wagon
has been called a "wing mecca," and we would certainly agree with that
statement! They've recently undergone some major renovations, and if
you were used to their former ambiance which wasn't much to look at,
you owe it to yourself to head on over there and check out the new
digs. Well, same digs, but new style. You know what we mean. We really
love the sauces that they have here, some of the best barbecue sauce in
town and also the hot wings are just amazing. Just the perfect amount
of heat. The wings are so famous that the pizza is sometimes overlooked
here, but it is excellent and very highly recommended! This is our
essential place to pick up our Super Bowl wings, but remember to call
early and place that order because everybody else in town knows how
good it is too! Truly one of the best, we just love this place! 71 Public Sq Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 782-1225
Tico's Mex Mex Grill
is a great place to go when you want something good and spicy! We
really love their white queso with chips, and their enchiladas are also
really noteworthy. For some reason there seem to be a lot of negative
reviews online for this one, but we have been here many times over the
years and we have never had a negative experience! We love to come in
later in the evening and enjoy their full bar, and on a certain night
of the week they even have live mariachi music for you to enjoy. The
staff is very friendly and conscientious, always doing a great job.
Their rice and beans are very good, and the chips and salsa are nice
too. Check this one out for yourself! 65 Public Square Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 782-9569
