X20 Xaviars on the Hudson is our absolute favorite restaurant in Yonkers, and quite possibly the most expensive choice on this list, but totally worth it! We absolutely adore the location on the beach, and that incredible eclectic menu of American, French, and Asian Fusion flavors! Their ravioli with short ribs and foie gras is just incredible, and that's just an appetizer! For an entree we would very highly recommend the roasted salmon with horseradish crust, and the aged and grilled cowboy rib eye for two is really wonderful. For dessert, you are going to have to try the green tea creme brulee with lychee compote and lavender honey! That was a sweet surprise that is probably our favorite dessert of all time. If that's not your style you may try the blackberry merlot sorbet, or the panna cotta. Everything on the menu is good though so don't feel stuck with our recommendations! A+ all around.

Kang Suh Restaurant is a Korean restaurant centrally located on Central Park Avenue in downtown Yonkers. The ban-chan (sides) are very plentiful here, and flavorful too! We enjoyed eating the seafood scallion pancakes the last time we came in, and we also loved their teuk kalbi and the gopdol bibimbap. Many have said that this is the best of the best when it comes to Korean food in Westchester County, and we'd be very inclined to agree with that statement. Don't miss their spicy fish stew or their barbecued items, and be sure to try the abalone porridge if you never have before!  This is another one of the more expensive restaurants on this list, but again it is very much worth it.

Rancho Grande is of course a Mexican restaurant, and as with the previous restaurant it's conveniently located on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers. There's plenty of space here so even at its most crowded it never really feels crowded, and the decor is just lovely. We really love coming in when they have live music! That's a real treat. The steak fajitas are one of our favorite items on the menu, and we also love the drinks though the prices are a bit exorbitant to say the least. It's important to note that this is not the most authentic Mexican food in the land, but the Tex Mex is in fact very good. Our favorite thing about this place is that they make the guacamole right in front of you so you can customize the level of spice. Try their seafood combo dish (the name fails us right now), it's got everything but the kitchen sink!

Rory Dolan's Restaurant & Bar is a fantastic upscale Irish pub where you can nosh on those delicious mini Irish soda breads and that unforgettable Bailey's French Toast during weekend brunch! Love it! The menu isn't all Irish though... in fact they have delicious Mexican quesadillas, Italian mozzarella and tomato salad, and good old English fish and chips! The best though, in our opinion, is the Irish smoked salmon appetizer! So good! The menu is large and really covers a wide variety of ethnicities, and the atmosphere is nice, good bar scene that's still family friendly. There are plenty of televisions throughout the bar and restaurant so you can catch the game. The prices are quite reasonable here too! It can be a little loud at peak times, but there's nothing wrong with a lively atmosphere as long as you enjoy it!

Patang has Indian and Pakistani delights that you will definitely enjoy. Their lunch buffet is really noteworthy, because it serves as an amazing introduction to both Indian and Pakistani cuisine. We love their palak paneer, naan, and bhindi masala, as well as the veggie pakoras! They've got lots of different options here for both carnivores and vegetarians, so whatever your style is, you can really enjoy yourself here with a wide variety of foods. They say this is the very best Indian food in Westchester County, and on that note we can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to try this place! The price is right, the ambiance is wonderful... and that masala tea, on its own, would be worth the visit! Very highly recommended to anyone who enjoys Indian and Pakistani food, or to anyone who has never tried them yet! This is a great place to find out about it for the first time. So good.

Zuppa is one of the greatest Italian restaurants in the Yonkers area as far as we're concerned, with really wonderful intimate ambiance, the kind of service you haven't seen in years, and a menu that runs the gamut from traditional favorites to modern twists. They've got delicious lattes here, wonderful short ribs and short rib ravioli, delicious steaks, and a rock shrimp casserole that we can never resist. You may want to sit at the bar to enjoy some drinks either before or after dinner, and they have a wonderful bartender who really knows how to mix a mean cocktail. We recommend the mozzarella caprese for an appetizer. It's true that the prices are high for Yonkers, but again we're going to say it's worth it. Oh, let's not forget about the lamb meatballs and creamy polenta! There are so many wonderful things for you to try here, and we just know that you'll love Zuppa as much as we do.

Belle Havana brings the wonderful tastes of Cuba right here to our own backyard in Yonkers. We absolutely loved the shrimp ceviche appetizer even though we usually don't enjoy ceviche made with shrimp, so that says something about the quality that's involved here. The grilled fish is really delicious here, and we love their stewed plantains alongside that, followed by an amazing dessert of their tres leches. The prices really aren't bad here at all either, and when you consider the exotic foods and the high quality of them, that's a really good thing. Our friends have also recommended the paella, and they said that the salads are also amazingly good. We would very highly recommend this restaurant to you based on our own wonderful experiences here as well as those of our friends!

East Harbor Seafood Restaurant is excellent for the sushi lover, and also for those who love Chinese food! On the sushi side of the menu we especially enjoy the lobster tempura, the mango and shrimp roll, and the crab salad. On the Chinese side of the menu we're big fans of the veggie lo mein, the triple treasure, and sesame chicken. The beef with broccoli is also one of our favorite dishes, not just here but everywhere, and they do it very well here. We think you'll be very impressed with the quality of the food, the wonderful service, and the cozy atmosphere. This is one of the lower priced restaurants on this list but also one of the best. Very highly recommended to you and yours!

Ya Hala Restaurant is a great source for Mediterranean food in Yonkers. We especially enjoy their falafel, which is prepared just perfectly and tastes so good, and their hommous is just delicious too. The chicken kabobs are our favorite thing for an entree, just bursting with flavor and so juicy. This isn't a very fancy restaurant by any means, just a simple place to dine and chat, and that's all it really needs to be. The kafta plate is a very nice option too, featuring both lamb and beef, and their rice is just unbelievable, and very different from any other Middle Eastern rice that we have ever eaten. The baklava... and we consider ourselves to be baklava connoisseurs.... is DELISH. Very highly recommended, along with an Arabic coffee. The perfect after dinner combo.

Carlo's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria... one more Italian restaurant for the road! We just adore all of the pastas and steaks here. They also have delicious salads! In particular we'd recommend the New York strip steak, the fried calamari, the mozzarella en carozza, the rack of lamb, the linguine in clam sauce, and the chicken rollentine. And that's just the beginning of the wonderful things that they offer here. They have wonderful wines by the glass and the server will be happy to guide you to the perfect one to go along with your dish. Wonderful place for takeout too! And of course, fabulous pizza. One of the best places for Italian food and pizza in Yonkers, and one of our highest recommendations!
